Marka and the Elf Stocking

Paul and I dog-sat for friends this Christmas! Marka is one of the sweetest, most awesomest dogs ever. Her parents are pretty awesome as well! Jellybean LOVES Marka's tail, but I haven't been able to get a decent picture because there's too much motion. Marka, you're always welcome here!

Marka of course needed a Christmas present. I sort of forgot to make Jellybean a stocking. It's probably for the best because Santa might have just given her coal.

Yarn Snowman

A friend decided to have a craft get-together and had supplies for this snowman. I took the supplies home to make the snowman for a friend that couldn't make it that day, but Jellybean destroyed the scarf and half the wire for the hat, and has hidden two of the buttons. I think the original is so much better, but Jellybean apparently had other plans.

December

Jellybean and HER houses.

November

There's a small woodsy area nearby, and I'll definitely have to take some snow pictures there.

October

I haven't been able to keep the floors clean since we brought Jellybean home... but look at how
cute she is! Too bad she's causing mischief.

Ribbon Lamp

I really like the shape of the TASSA NATT wall lamp from IKEA, but the picture it had was too childish. The ribbons are slightly less childish. I just used double sided tape to hold the ribbons in place, so I can change it out any time. I love it!

August 31 & September 1

Paul doing what he does best!

This was a failed project, but I still like it.

Photos for the 26-28th, and 30th

Missing a day was bound to happen, but I posted some more picures in Our Adventures, so that makes up for it, right?

MMM... ice cream.

I left for a few minutes and came back to find that
Jellybean stole my blanket and my chair.

My version of the nutella cupcake recipe. It's yummy
in bread form, but I will try the cupcakes next.

She has discovered the window ledge!

August 23-25th Photos

I love this fake flower, always colorful.

It had been so hot for several days, then the rain finally came!

Jellybean is so very cooperative... sometimes.

Kitchen Art & Button Bracelet

This website features downloadable prints from amazing artists.
I hung these on our backsplash with command strips, but they fell off with the heat.
I'm going to try magnets, and hang them on the fridge.

Inspiration: Button Bracelet
I like the inspiration much better, but I had a
ton of white buttons and no elastic.

Making cookies for a friend!

The conch always makes me happy.

I was trying to make a bracelet out of buttons. I tried three different
styles until I settled on one I liked.

Photos for August 17 & 18

These are from my balcony. I absolutely love that we look out onto trees. It's so relaxing on a rainy day.

Jellybean and I were having a party!

Photos for Aug. 14-16th

The view from our bedroom on a nice day... I don't like being on the third floor, but it's nice to look over the houses across the street.

There's been a phone in that tree since we moved in! I really want to know the story behind that.

Magazine Files

I used some magazine files from IKEA, paper, and whatever else I had scattered around, to make these cute files that're very "me." Now Jellybean won't be chewing on them, or reading them... who knows what she does when no one's looking.

Fabric Bracelet & Magazine Basket

Inspiration: Fabric necklace
I couldn't get the necklace to stay straight, so I cut it short and made a bracelet instead!

Inspiration: Newspaper basket
There was no newspaper in sight, so a small basket made out of an old
magazine will have to do. I will eventually make a larger one...

Photos for August 10-13th

Mom bought this for me right before we moved. Now I see him
everyday out on the patio, just being all cute.

Isn't Jellybean sew cute?

I'm moving the apartment around, which means large piles of stuff that will eventually tip over.

My friend Jen made me an AWESOME book in 2001... apparently I'm "a handmade cloth from India."

So it begins...

I have decided to take at least one picture a day, and do a crafty project at least once a week... so, let's see how it goes! Naturally, I will forget and this will turn into a picture a week, and a project every month sort of blog. Who knows, I might astonish myself.
